WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Facilities) to join their team in Overland Park, KS. The role involves leading and executing electrical power components of industrial and government projects, including creating construction drawings and specifications.
About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work with a multi-disciplinary engineering team, performing complex electrical engineering tasks, developing electrical calculations, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. You will also prepare technical reports, interact with regulatory agencies, and maintain high-quality standards in project execution.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for large capital projects.
- Engineer in Training Certification.
- Proficient knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.
- Ability to make technical computations and calculations.
- Project management experience with small to mid-level projects.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly capable self-leadership with attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering.
- Essential Professional Licensure/Certification.
- MasterSpec/SpecsIntact specification authoring and editing experience.
- Construction cost estimating experience.
- A solid foundation of design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD and/or REVIT.
- Experience designing to NAVFAC and USACE design standards.
- 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) preferred.
