About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering and design of facility power distribution systems, grounding, lighting, and equipment specifications in complex industrial facilities. You will evaluate system goals, perform calculations, direct construction activities, maintain communication with project teams, and prepare technical specifications for bidding and construction. You will also provide leadership and guidance to less experienced staff and interact directly with clients and contractors.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
- PE, Professional Engineer license preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering design of buildings.
- Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC).
- Ability to perform power system studies including short circuit, load flow, protective coordination, and arc flash studies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio), Smartplant, Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.
Preferred:
- Life Science and/or advanced manufacturing facility electrical design experience.
- Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
