About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take technical ownership of spacecraft power system architecture, guiding the design, integration, and validation of high-reliability electrical systems for challenging space environments. Your responsibilities include leading the design and development of spacecraft power systems, performing electrical architecture trade studies, developing detailed schematics, overseeing prototyping and testing, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, conducting fault analysis, managing component selection, and ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (Master’s or PhD preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in spacecraft or satellite electrical system design, with a focus on power systems.
- Proven track record in designing batteries, solar arrays, power conversion, and distribution systems for space applications.
- Experience leading electrical design from concept through manufacturing and launch.
- Proficiency in electrical analysis tools, simulation software, and CAD for schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Familiarity with NASA/DoD development lifecycles and milestone reviews.
- Strong knowledge of high-reliability aerospace components and derating guidelines.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, startup environment with shifting priorities.
Preferred:
- Hands-on spacecraft integration and test experience.
- Experience with deep-space or high-radiation power systems.
- Knowledge of space industry standards such as ECSS, IPC, and MIL-STD.
- Prior involvement in technology maturation from TRL 4–9.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for on-orbit anomalies and ground test failures.
