Summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer 1 - Oil & Gas to join their team in Midland, TX. The role involves designing, modifying, and analyzing electrical systems for oil and gas facilities and supporting power plant design.
About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work in a project team environment, tackling challenging assignments that include troubleshooting electrical engineering issues, ensuring project completion on time and within budget, and preparing detailed calculations and documentation. You will also interface with vendors, prepare reports, and mentor less experienced engineers while working in a hybrid schedule requiring in-office work three days a week.
About You
Required:
- BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program; MSEE preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in power plant or industrial plant design focused on oil and gas.
- Experience in electrical system design including medium and low voltage distribution systems.
- Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, and preparation of specifications.
- Experience in reviewing design calculations and drawings.
Preferred:
- PE license.
