Fluidstack is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in New York, United States. The role involves overseeing end-to-end electrical designs for large-scale data centers, ensuring design quality and compliance with technical standards.
About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight of electrical designs for data centers, covering the full power delivery chain from medium voltage distribution to rack-level delivery. You will contribute to the development of internal design standards and best practices, ensuring consistency and quality across projects as the company scales towards a 10GW deployment target.
About You
Required:
5+ years of experience in data centers electrical design or other mission-critical facilities.
Prior experience at a hyperscale operator (AWS, Google, Meta, Microsoft) or major mission-critical design firm.
Solid understanding of major data center electrical topologies and the ability to articulate trade-offs.
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards including NEC, TIA-942, NFPA 110, IEEE 446, NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584.
Preferred:
Experience with high-density compute environments (AI/ML, HPC) and GPU-heavy workloads.
Familiarity with EPMS/BMS integration and liquid cooling electrical distribution.
Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred, or ability to obtain within 18 months.
Proficiency with tools such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, and/or Bluebeam Revu.
