About the Role
As a Senior Engineer – Mechatronics, you will lead projects focused on mechanism design with electromechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuation. Responsibilities include leading multidisciplinary teams, shaping technology development, providing technical guidance, and developing design tools for robotic systems. You will also be involved in patenting inventions and publishing research.
About You
Required:
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or Applied Mechanics with 7 years of experience, or MS with 10 years of experience.
- Experience in developing electro-mechanical systems including actuators and sensors.
- Proficiency in 3D solid modeling software (e.g., NX, SOLIDWORKS, Creo).
- Experience in building data acquisition and control systems.
- Experience in simulation of kinematics and dynamics of mechanisms.
Preferred:
- 10+ years of experience in an industrial or laboratory setting.
- Extensive experience developing end effectors and utilizing robotic manipulators.
- Experience with electrical system design including PCBs.
- Analytical experience with finite element analysis using ANSYS.
- Experience implementing Lean in a research environment.
