ICE is seeking a Senior Engineer, Application Engineering to join their team in Chicago, IL. The role involves providing top-tier support, maintenance, and solution design for various applications in a mixed UNIX and Windows environment.
About the Role
As a Senior Engineer in Application Engineering, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing integrated solutions, tuning systems for maximum performance, and providing application support for SWIFT, IBM MQ, and Tableau. You will also manage application configurations, perform root cause analysis, and participate in a weekly on-call rotation for after-hours support.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in CIS or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering/Information Technology.
- 5+ years proven experience with third party application support (SWIFT, IBM MQ).
- Demonstrated knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
- Functional scripting knowledge (Perl, JavaScript, Bash, Python, etc.).
Preferred:
- Experience in automation tool development and methodologies, like Ansible and Puppet.
- Experience with IBM Sterling Integrator and/or MQ.
- Basic understanding of SQL Database concepts (Oracle, MySQL).
