EIT, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environment Health and Safety Specialist to join their team in Egg Harbor, NJ. The role involves supporting Research and Development activities for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements.
About the Role
As a Senior Environment Health and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting FAA buildings and structures, performing job hazard analyses, and conducting training for personnel. You will also be involved in environmental monitoring, asbestos surveys, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The position requires physical activity including walking, standing, and the ability to wear a respirator.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester-hours in occupational safety & health or related fields.
- At least 10 years of experience in Occupational Safety & Health and/or Environmental Sciences.
- Knowledge of environmental and occupational safety laws and regulations.
- Experience with job hazard analysis and OSHA required safety training.
Preferred:
- OSHA 6005 training.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
- Experience with indoor air quality and confined space entry.
