GlobalFoundries is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineering Technician (Days and Nights) to join their team at the Essex Junction site, a 200mm semiconductor manufacturing facility. The role involves monitoring, sustaining, and improving equipment and processes while collaborating with production team members and engineers.
About the Role
As a Senior Equipment Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring manufacturing readiness. You will work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, effectively communicating updates on equipment status and participating in training activities.
About You
Required:
- High School Degree (or equivalent).
- 2-year technical degree and 4 years of relevant experience, or 2 years of relevant military experience and 4 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of relevant experience in fields such as automotive repair, HVAC, or electrical work.
- Basic computer navigation skills (i.e. Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and stand for extended periods.
Preferred:
- Associate degree in engineering technology or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of direct experience working in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Project management skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend schematics and experience with troubleshooting techniques.
