Burson is seeking a Senior Financial Director to join their team in New York, NY. The role involves overseeing revenue recognition, managing large client accounts, and providing financial guidance across the North American Finance Team.
About the Role
As a Senior Financial Director, you will apply IFRS revenue recognition principles to complex client contracts, prepare detailed revenue schedules, collaborate with account teams, and support the annual audit process. You will also identify opportunities for process improvement and act as a liaison between various departments to ensure compliance and efficiency.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent career experience).
5+ years of progressive experience in client finance, with a strong focus on revenue recognition.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
In-depth knowledge and practical application of revenue recognition standards.
Proven experience in managing client financial relationships.
Preferred:
CPA certification or actively pursuing.
Direct experience working within a Public Relations Agency or similar professional services firm.
Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials).
