Summary

Republic is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting & Technical Accountant to join their team in New York, NY. The role involves owning complex accounting and reporting in a fast-growing fintech company.

About the Role

As a Senior Financial Reporting & Technical Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, maintaining balance sheet account reconciliations, researching new accounting standards, and supporting audits. You will also identify gaps in reporting and implement improvements while partnering closely with Finance leadership.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA required.
3-5+ years of accounting experience with strong technical accounting and reporting exposure.
Public accounting background (Big 4 or national firm preferred).
Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
Strong judgment, technical writing skills, and attention to detail.
Comfortable owning work end-to-end in a fast-moving, resource-lean environment.

Preferred:

SEC reporting experience.
Experience scaling close and reporting processes.
Fintech, marketplace, or regulated industry experience.
