About the Role
As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you will design and implement robust solutions involving core automotive protocols such as CAN, UDS, and OBD-II. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of hardware, firmware, and software components, contribute to low-level firmware development, perform software debugging, and mentor junior engineers.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in software and firmware development roles.
- Expertise in automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
- Proficiency with C programming.
- Deep functional knowledge and experience with essential automotive protocols (CAN, UDS, OBD-II).
- Expertise in real-time operating systems (RTOS) for embedded systems.
- Familiarity with low-level communication protocols such as I2C, UART, and SPI.
- Strong debugging skills and experience working with cloud-connected devices.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of additional automotive protocols such as J1939, K-LINE, and J2534.
- Prior experience with power sports vehicles, such as Polaris.
- Expertise in STM32 microcontroller programming.
- Experience with boot code, low-level OS code, device drivers, and IO devices.
- Understanding of ARM architecture, particularly M4 and A9, and experience with System-on-Chip (SoC) bring-up.
- Strong foundational knowledge of hardware and firmware interaction and development lifecycles.
