Summary
Uneek Global is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join their team in El Segundo, CA (hybrid). The role involves developing next generation wearable technology and architecting Bluetooth enabled firmware for connected devices.
About the Role
As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for wearable devices. Your responsibilities will include owning Bluetooth stack integration, developing low power real-time firmware, collaborating with hardware engineers, implementing drivers for sensors, and debugging complex system issues. You will also contribute to architecture decisions and support product validation and production readiness.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills in embedded environments.
- Hands-on experience with Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
- Experience developing firmware for wearable or battery powered consumer devices.
- Solid understanding of RTOS concepts, scheduling, interrupts, and memory management.
- Experience with common MCU platforms, ARM Cortex M preferred.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART.
- Experience with power optimization techniques for battery operated systems.
- Strong debugging and problem solving skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with mobile integration, iOS or Android.
- Knowledge of OTA firmware updates.
- Exposure to regulatory certification, FCC, CE.
