Summary
CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Senior FOIA Analyst to join their team in Dallas, TX. The role involves processing FOIA requests, creating correspondence, and managing negotiations for a large federal agency.
About the Role
As a Senior FOIA Analyst, you will be responsible for receiving, reviewing, and analyzing FOIA requests, preparing request folders, entering data into the FOIA tracking database, drafting response letters, and communicating with requesters and other stakeholders. You will also coordinate document searches, review records for responsiveness, and ensure compliance with applicable exemptions.
About You
Required:
- Three (3) years of experience processing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of FOIA rules and regulations, specifically applying exemptions b(4), b(5), and b(6).
- Experience redacting records with trade secrets and confidential commercial information.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
Preferred:
- Prior federal government experience.
- Experience with FOIA tools like FOIA EXPRESS.
- Experience using SecureRelease.
- Active security clearance.
