Clear Point Group is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team in New York, NY. The role involves assisting in the monthly and quarterly close processes for various investment funds and management entities.
About the Role
As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for reviewing NAV packages, liaising with fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors, preparing internal financial reports, supporting annual audits and tax returns, maintaining internal controls, and assisting with regulatory filings and ad hoc projects. You will also help implement new systems and processes to improve operational efficiency.
About You
Required:
- 4-7 years of total work experience in public accounting and fund accounting at a hedge fund, private equity firm, or other alternative investment firm.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and investment company accounting.
Preferred:
- CPA preferred.
- Familiarity with multi-strategy funds.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with portfolio accounting systems (e.g., Geneva, Investran, or similar) is a plus.
