NVIDIA is seeking a Senior HPC Performance Engineer - AI for Science at Scale to join their team in Santa Clara, CA. The role focuses on building the next generation of scientific machine learning frameworks to accelerate AI for Science.
About the Role
As a Senior HPC Performance Engineer, you will design and implement features for large scale, CUDA-backed ML training frameworks, optimize performance of ML models, develop and maintain HPC software for atomistic modeling, and collaborate with various teams to drive testing and maintenance of algorithms and software modules.
About You
Required:
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Computational Biophysics, Computational Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in performance engineering and software design.
- Deep understanding of parallel programming in C++, Python; programming experience with CUDA or OAI Triton.
- Fluent in modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, Warp.
- Experience with HPC solutions for biology or chemistry research.
Preferred:
- Contribution to major scientific AI for Science codebase with acceleration features.
- Familiarity with pioneering language and geometric models used in AI for Science applications.
