Summary
Patelco Credit Union is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to join their team in Dublin, CA. The role involves leading the design, tuning, and optimization of the Credit Union's detection stack to safeguard networks and member data.
About the Role
As a Senior Information Security Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering and tuning endpoint detection & response, network detection & response platforms, driving detection and automation initiatives, and building behavioral detection solutions aligned to MITRE ATT&CK TTPs. You will also operationalize threat intelligence into actionable detection rules and lead red/blue teaming efforts to test detections against real-world scenarios.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security.
- 3+ years focused on Detection Engineering, including EDR, NDR, SIEM, SOAR tooling.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, YAML, etc.) and experience with data parsing and log normalization.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE & DREAD models.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, GCTI, GCIA, GDSA or equivalent.
