Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Infrastructure / Networking Engineer to join their team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role involves guiding the design, development, testing, and delivery of advanced high-capacity systems that process modern communications.
About the Role
As a Senior Infrastructure / Networking Engineer, you will be an integral part of a team that makes decisions and generates ideas to enhance product capabilities. You will oversee system development and deployments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team. Your responsibilities will include generating briefings, presenting materials to stakeholders, and potentially traveling up to 25%.
About You
Required:
Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience.
Experience with system development to support multiple programs.
Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages.
Experience with Linux, especially Red Hat distributions.
Experience with enterprise-grade networking equipment (Cisco, Arista, Juniper).
Experience with virtualization technology (KVM, VMWare, Hyper-V).
Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP).
Experience with configuration management systems (Puppet, Ansible, Salt).
Experience designing and setting up networks and data centers.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) clearance.
Preferred:
Experience with User Interface development.
Experience with enterprise-grade storage equipment.
Experience with object-oriented programming languages.
Strong experience with Python or other scripting languages.
Basic understanding of telecommunications systems concepts and/or signal processing.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerized systems.
Experience with process improvement and automated system deployments.
Existing Top-Secret SCI (TS/SCI) with Poly (Active within the last 24 months).
