Summary
Rockwell Automation is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Plex to join their team in Troy, MI. The role involves contributing to the transformation from a monolithic architecture to a microservices architecture and supporting infrastructure in both private and public cloud data centers.
About the Role
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for improving the reliability and delivery of products through automation and auto remediation. You will participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and ensure issues are resolved efficiently in a well-maintained environment.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Preferred:
- Typically requires 5+ years managing private and public cloud infrastructure.
- Proven history building automated solutions that enable rapid deployment and increased scalability.
- Capability to analyze packet captures using tools such as Wireshark.
- Public Cloud experience: Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services.
- Experience using a variety of open source technologies and cloud services including Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Strong Scripting Knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with monitoring services such as Elastic, PRTG, LibreNMS, Virtana, and Dynatrace.
