Stellar Health is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to join their team in New York, NY. The role involves managing and advancing the company's corporate technology, focusing on IT operations, end-user experience, and proactive improvement within a modern, stable tech stack.
About the Role
As a Senior IT Engineer, you will be responsible for administering, securing, and supporting core systems such as Okta, Google Workspace, Zoom, Jira, Jamf, Intune, and Meraki. You will support macOS and Windows laptops, mobile devices, audio/visual equipment, printers, and networking equipment. The role includes managing inbound support requests, owning team SLAs, serving as the primary IT owner for the New York office, and continuously improving onboarding/offboarding processes. You will create and enforce IT policies, identify opportunities for technical improvements, lead strategic IT projects, and collaborate with business partners to develop scalable workflows.
About You
Required:
- 4+ years hands-on IT support experience in modern enterprise environments
- 5+ years of relevant technical customer support experience
- Advanced troubleshooting and administration expertise with Windows and macOS (50/50)
- Experience with Jamf and Intune for zero-touch deployment, policy enforcement, and lifecycle management
- Experience administering office networks and strong understanding of networking concepts
- Experience administering, architecting, and supporting Okta and Google Workspace
- Experience scripting with UEM/MDM tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience building automations for identity and lifecycle management using iPaaS platforms (e.g., Workato, Okta Workflows, Tray.io)
- Proficient understanding of Jira or other ticketing systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across diverse stakeholders and teams
- Ability to drive complex projects from planning to completion with limited oversight
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing competing priorities
- Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and developing new processes
- Passion for automation, efficiency, and exceptional customer service
- Low ego, can-do attitude, willingness to admit mistakes and share learnings
- Attention to detail and passion for accuracy
Preferred:
- Experience with Workato, Okta Workflows, or Tray.io for automation
- Experience with PatchMyPC and Poly Studio technology
- Experience with HRIS systems such as UKG
- Experience in strategic IT project leadership and process redesign
- Experience working in health-tech or healthcare-related environments
