Summary
AEG Vision is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Addison, Texas. The role involves providing remote support for various IT equipment, troubleshooting network and system issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
About the Role
As a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for remote support of desktops, laptops, and network equipment, purchasing and maintaining IT equipment, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and coordinating network deployment plans. You will work with cross-functional teams, lead installation crews, and ensure effective implementation strategies while maintaining communication with clients and internal teams.
About You
Required:
- Over 10 years of related work experience.
- Familiarity with one or more databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Mongo DB.
- Experience in High Availability and distributed systems, Windows administration, troubleshooting, and support.
- Excellent debugging skills across a variety of integrated platforms.
- Experience with VMware technologies including vSphere Replication and Site Recovery Manager (SRM), NSX-T, vSAN, VMC on AWS, and vRealize Suite.
- Knowledge of networking including AD, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancers, and IP routing.
- Working knowledge of monitoring tools such as Splunk, Zenoss, Elastic, AppDynamics, and Dynatrace.
- Experience transitioning platforms to the cloud and understanding of cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and PCF.
- Deep experience designing and implementing highly scalable, distributed application systems.
Preferred:
- Experience with medical device equipment.
- Active certifications in Cisco, VMware, NetApp, and Dell/EMC technologies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% annually.
