Summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join their team in San Jose, CA. The role involves backend development for the Identity Organization, focusing on microservices architecture and cloud-native solutions.

About the Role

As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you will design and develop scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs. You will implement event-driven architecture patterns for high-throughput systems, optimize and migrate databases for performance and scalability, and build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions is essential, and for select roles, you will contribute to GCP-based architecture and deployment strategies.

About You

Required:

5+ years of experience in Java development.
Strong expertise in Spring Boot and RESTful API design.
Experience with event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub).
Hands-on experience with containerization and cloud-native architecture.
Solid understanding of distributed systems.
Experience with database migration and optimization.

Preferred:

Working knowledge of GCP and cloud-native development.
