CRB is seeking a Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Rockville, MD. The role involves overseeing the mechanical discipline scope of work and managing design and engineering support staff for various projects in the life sciences and food and beverage industries.
About the Role
As a Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will provide oversight for the mechanical discipline at a project, office, and regional level. Your responsibilities will include managing workflows, coordinating with internal and external parties, developing proposals, conducting field surveys, and ensuring project quality. You will also mentor less experienced engineers and lead advanced project system design programming.
About You
Required:
- ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (with a mechanical focus)
- Minimum of 15 years of experience for Senior Lead position
- Professional Engineer registration in good standing
- Expert experience with performing engineering calculations and developing HVAC, mechanical utility, and piping systems designs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Advanced experience with mechanical/plumbing/fire/building codes and applicable industry standards
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Revit
- Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Laboratory) or Food & Beverage industry experience
- Advanced knowledge of cGMPs and experience with advanced technology industry projects
- LEED, WELL or other sustainable design accredited professional
- Proficient with advanced internal and external cross-discipline project team coordination
