About the Role
As a Senior Loan Officer, you will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, and underwriting complex community facility loan transactions. You will analyze borrower financial statements, navigate regulatory considerations, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely closings. Additionally, you will build relationships with key borrowers and contribute to the development of a qualified lending pipeline while supporting the implementation of LIIF's community facilities strategy.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, business, urban planning, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in lending, community development finance, or CDFI operations.
- Proven expertise in loan origination, underwriting, deal structuring, and risk mitigation.
- Strong experience with financing for charter schools, early childcare & education, health facilities, or community facilities.
- Advanced financial analysis skills, particularly in nonprofit and real estate financials.
Preferred:
- Deep knowledge of CDFI industry standards, NMTCs, and public subsidy layering.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local funding sources for community development.
- Strong strategic planning, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and mentoring junior staff.
