Summary
Somatus is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to join their team in McLean, VA. The role involves managing the overall financial planning and analysis function, providing financial support and insights to drive successful business outcomes.
About the Role
As a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be responsible for managing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, building and maintaining an integrated 3-statement financial model, analyzing financial performance, and preparing insights for leadership. You will also identify process improvements, serve as a financial liaison for departments, and prepare financial presentations for the Board of Directors and investors.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in FP&A; supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in the managed healthcare industry is strongly preferred.
- Advanced financial modeling expertise, including P&L and cash flow analysis.
- Proficient in data modeling, automation, and reporting using Power BI.
- Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core financial principles.
Preferred:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex financial modeling.
- Working knowledge of SQL and Excel-based coding techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong business acumen and ability to interpret financial results.
