KPMG US is seeking a Senior Manager, State & Local Income Tax - Asset Management to join their team in Melville, NY. The role involves providing tax compliance services and exceptional client service to multi-state companies with state and local tax issues.
About the Role
As a Senior Manager in the State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, you will be responsible for delivering tax compliance services to partnerships for Asset Management clients, assisting with state and local tax controversies, conducting research, and mentoring staff. You will also aid in business development and manage large client project engagements while developing cross-functional relationships within the firm.
About You
Required:
- Minimum five years of recent experience performing tax research and providing technical advice on multi-state tax issues.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
- Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM or MTX, or other approved credentials.
- Ability to develop business and foster client relationships.
- Excellent writing, communication, and tax research skills.
- Prior experience in Partnership and/or Asset Management.
Preferred:
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in providing tax research and technical advice on multi-state issues.
- Strong knowledge of the development, planning, and execution of client delivery.
- Experience with various other state and local taxes.
