Summary
KPMG US is seeking a Senior Manager, Trade and Customs to join their team in Boston, MA. The role involves providing expert advice on import and export matters and managing client engagements in the Trade and Customs practice.
About the Role
As a Senior Manager, Trade and Customs, you will provide advice to clients across various industries on import and export matters, identify additional opportunities in international tax and transfer pricing, research trade regulations, and deliver trade savings opportunities. You will also mentor and manage a team, ensuring client engagements are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining strong client communication.
About You
Required:
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in import/export within the field of trade and customs as a customs attorney, customs broker, U.S. Customs auditor, or import specialist.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Customs Brokers License (CBL) or equivalent certification.
- Previous experience in a consulting or trade law firm.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based sponsorship.
Preferred:
- Experience with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, NAFTA, and informed compliance methods.
