About the Role
As a Senior Manager, Trade and Customs, you will be responsible for advising clients across various industries on import/export issues, identifying opportunities for international tax and transfer pricing, conducting research on trade matters, and delivering trade savings solutions. You will also mentor and manage a team, ensuring client engagements are completed on time and within budget while maintaining strong client communication.
About You
Required:
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in import/export within the field of trade and customs as a customs attorney, customs broker, U.S. Customs auditor, or import specialist.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Customs Brokers License (CBL) or equivalent certification.
- Previous experience in a consulting or trade law firm.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based sponsorship.
Preferred:
- Experience with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, NAFTA, and informed compliance methods.
- Advanced degrees such as JD/LLM or MBA.
