About the Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Movable Bridges, you will be responsible for developing design plans, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates for new construction, rehabilitation, and emergency repair projects. You will inspect mechanical equipment, conduct research, prepare technical reports, and work as part of a cross-functional team to ensure project work conforms to specifications and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will maintain quality control standards, provide guidance to entry-level engineers, and interact with regulatory agencies and clients.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior mechanical design experience.
- Engineer in Training Certification.
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with movable bridge design, inspection, and construction management.
- Ability to make technical computations and conduct inspections.
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineering Licensure.
- 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER).
- Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training.
