Summary
Envoy is seeking a Senior Motion Designer to join their team in Chicago, IL. The role involves creating high-impact motion graphics and leading production workflows to deliver immersive visual experiences for clients.
About the Role
As a Senior Motion Designer, you will concept, design, and animate motion graphics across various styles including 2D, 3D, illustration, and photo-real. You will visualize immersive experiences for pitches and production, lead production workflows from concept to delivery, develop internal toolkits and workflows, explore and integrate emerging tools like Unreal, Unity, and TouchDesigner, manage render pipelines in collaboration with IT and engineering, stay updated on trends in motion design and experiential technology, and provide creative and technical oversight across multiple projects.
About You
Required:
- 8-10 years of experience in a studio or agency environment with a strong portfolio of diverse motion work.
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and After Effects.
- Strong 3D skills in Cinema 4D or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of production pipelines and post workflows.
- Experience designing for both screen and space (installations, architecture, exhibits, retail).
- Excellent design fundamentals including composition, typography, and storytelling as they translate into motion.
- Strong communication skills with leadership instincts and a collaborative spirit.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Motion Design, Animation, or Visual Communication.
Preferred:
- Experience with Fusion, Unreal, Unity, or TouchDesigner.
