About the Role
As a Senior Navy Design Engineer, you will support Navy acquisition organizations in developing mission-appropriate Naval vessels and systems. Your responsibilities will include leading design efforts, preparing technical reports, and collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers to enhance design processes and technologies.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or Industrial Design.
- 10+ years of experience in Navy shipbuilding and defense systems.
- Ability to analyze designs through review of design artifacts.
- Ability to perform quantitative analyses.
- Interim or Active Secret clearance.
Preferred:
- 15 years of experience in Navy shipbuilding and defense systems.
- Knowledge of Navy acquisition processes.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design standards for Naval ships.
- Knowledge of DoD or DoN procedures and policies, including the DoD 5000 process.
- Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) Certification.
