Leonardo DRS is seeking a Senior Operations Program Manager to join their team in Fitchburg, MA. The role involves overall operations and functional planning for the execution of assigned programs, driving new product introduction support from an operations standpoint.
About the Role
As a Senior Operations Program Manager, you will be responsible for scheduling the entire program to successfully launch manufacturing operations, working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing. Your tasks will include reviewing bid requirements, holding production kick-off meetings, monitoring target costs, coordinating with engineering and quality, advising on planning and documentation, and representing operations during customer negotiations.
About You
Required:
- BS degree in operations management, business, or engineering.
- 7-10 years of experience in low volume manufacturing in high technology applications in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures.
- Strong customer interface skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- US citizenship required.
Preferred:
- Experience in DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills in an operational role.
- Experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program and/or operations progress.
