Summary
Raytheon is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer - Linux to join their team in Aurora, CO. The role involves leveraging Linux Infrastructure Engineering expertise to design and implement system updates and upgrades.
About the Role
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining existing systems, integrating platform provisioning tools, and ensuring consistency across the COTS stack. You will also travel to customer sites for system updates and deliveries as needed.
About You
Required:
- BS/BA Degree in STEM (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics) and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
- Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (e.g., scrum, SAFe).
- Experience with VMware.
- Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).
- Current TS/SCI CI Poly issued security clearance.
Preferred:
- Experience with Linux LDAP for creating Linux based accounts and managing roles and permissions.
- Experience with Linux Bash scripting for task automation and management of existing scripts.
- Experience with modernization technologies such as Chef, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher.
- Experience with System Hardening.
- Experience with AWS technologies.
- Experience with Cisco IOS / Fiber Switch Familiarity.
- Experience with Cisco Server Hardware and Firewall implementation.
- Current Security Plus certification or obtain within 90 days of onboarding.
