Summary

iDirect Government is seeking a Senior Principal Solutions Architect to join their team in Herndon, VA, with the option for remote work. The role involves developing key technologies and platforms for satellite-based IP communications.

About the Role

As a Senior Principal Solutions Architect, you will contribute to architectural vision and customer-driven objectives, perform systems engineering and architecture development, produce mathematical simulations of communication channels, lead design for adaptive TDMA and IoT return channels, and collaborate with various stakeholders to advance product lines. You will also write technical documents and maintain awareness of competitive developments and technological trends.

About You

Required:

7+ years of Solution Architecture experience.
20+ years of related software and system solution development experience.
Experience with provider level networking systems (cellular, telecom, satellite, etc.).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills on technical matters.

Preferred:

Experience in architecting or designing software applications based on a micro-services architecture.
Knowledge of cloud technologies like Kubernetes and containerization.
Experience with automating deployments in virtualized environments.
Familiarity with networking protocols (IPv6, IPv4, TCP/IP, etc.).
Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
