WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Senior Professional Archaeologist to join their team in the Texas/Louisiana/Oklahoma/Arkansas region, focusing on technical work, writing, research, and supervising fieldwork.
About the Role
As a Senior Professional Archaeologist, you will manage heritage and cultural resources, deliver quality cultural resource compliance, prepare cultural resources survey reports, and interact with regulatory agencies. This role is primarily writing- and compliance-focused, with a significant portion dedicated to report writing and research.
About You
Required:
- Master’s Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, historic preservation, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant post-education experience in the context of Section 106/110 compliance.
- 10+ years of experience in CRM archaeology, preferably in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, or Arkansas.
- Qualify as a Principal Investigator on state and federal permits in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
- Excellent technical writing and demonstrated experience contributing to technical reports.
Preferred:
- Preference for a specialist with knowledge, skills, and abilities evidenced through publications/presentations.
- Active participation in professional practice organizations.
- Knowledge of field GPS equipment including ArcGIS FieldMaps.
