Summary
HDR is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join their team in Chicago, IL. The role involves providing detailed analysis, reporting, and all facets of project and contract financial management.
About the Role
As a Senior Project Accountant, you will collaborate with Section Managers and Project Managers to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Your responsibilities will include processing project initiation packages, reviewing subconsultant invoices, performing monthly billing, managing fee and budget updates, and assisting in project closeout activities. You will also support general accounting functions and supervise junior project accountants as needed.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills.
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Positive Leader, who is a team player that takes initiative to provide solutions.
- Highly energetic, detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills.
- Oracle EBS/Hyperion experience a plus.
- Project accounting experience highly desired.
- A/E/C experience highly desired.
- Local Candidates Preferred.
