About the Role
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will plan, coordinate, and review the work of staff and contractors for utility projects. Your responsibilities include developing project schedules, acting as a liaison between design engineers and utility staff, overseeing field inspections, and managing procedural guidelines. You will also supervise and mentor staff, validate cost estimates, and represent BKF Engineers in utility dispute resolutions.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing utility facility relocations on large-scale public works projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure in the State of California.
- Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D design experience.
Preferred:
- Experience with transit or highway-related systems.
- Strong understanding of utility property rights and state laws regarding utility relocation.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods and safety practices for utilities installation.
