Summary
Lightsource bp Powered By Hassan Allam is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their team in Austin, TX. The role involves supporting utility scale photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
About the Role
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing technical requirements, supporting construction teams, conducting site visits, and providing technical diligence for project finance. You will also develop task management tools and represent your specialty area in various meetings.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role with strong BESS experience.
- CAD experience (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.) required.
- Deep knowledge of BESS technologies and architectures.
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience where BESS responsibilities are a significant portion of prior roles.
- Advanced knowledge of performance and storage modelling tools such as PVsyst, PVsol, StorageVAT, SAM, Matlab/Simulink or equivalent.
- Experience designing and delivering utility scale PV + BESS projects.
