About the Role
As a Senior Radiation Protection Technician, you will be responsible for field implementation of the Radiation Safety Program, monitoring radiological work controls, processing radioactive shipments, conducting area surveys, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will also develop safety procedures, provide training, and maintain records related to radiation protection.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Qualification as a technician in accordance with ANSI/ANS-3.1 standard.
- National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologist (NRRPT) certification preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a radiation safety technician.
Preferred:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detailed knowledge of local, state and federal radiation safety compliance regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to identify exposure levels and develop radiation controls.
