About the Role
As a Senior R&D Analytical Scientist, you will be responsible for developing biochemical assays, setting up analytical equipment for protein characterization, executing R&D experiments independently, and facilitating collaboration among R&D, Production, and Analytical teams. You will also engage in brainstorming and problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
About You
Required:
- PhD in biochemistry or a related field with 4+ years industry experience, or BS or MS in biological or life sciences related field with 8+ years industry experience.
- Knowledge in the production of purified enzymes or proteins at lab scale and beyond.
- Experience with microbial recombinant protein expression platforms, fermentation, and strain development.
- Hands-on experience with protein analytical methods such as HPLC, ELISAs, SDS-PAGE, LC/MS analyses, PCR, and western blot.
Preferred:
- Experience with protein-protein interaction measurements, enzyme activity, Michaelis-Menten kinetics, and binding kinetics.
- Working with cell lysates and other complex protein mixtures.
