About the Role
As a Senior Registered Nurse in Triage Labor and Delivery, you will assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective care, delegate tasks according to the Texas Nursing Practice Act, and serve as a patient advocate. Responsibilities include continuous patient assessment, providing nursing care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
About You
Required:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Two years of nursing experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
- Current RN license or valid temporary permit with the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification from an approved provider.
- Current ACLS certification upon hire or within 90 days.
- Current NRP certification upon hire or within 90 days.
- Certification in AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring or equivalent upon hire.
Preferred:
- Experience in labor and delivery nursing.
- Additional specialty certifications related to maternal and neonatal care.
