Summary
Insmed is seeking a Senior Research Associate, Discovery Pharmacology to join their team in Bridgewater, NJ. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to investigate and advance therapeutics within the Immunology & Inflammation Therapeutic Area across several pre-clinical projects.
About the Role
As a Senior Research Associate, you will assist with tasks such as cell culture, in vitro hematopoietic stem cell expansion and differentiation, in vitro compound screening, performing enzymatic assays, ex vivo sample processing, and conducting various molecular biology techniques including ELISA, western blot, and flow cytometry. You will also process and analyze complex datasets, prepare presentations, and maintain documentation of experimental procedures.
About You
Required:
- Master's degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or related subject area with at least 1-3 years of pharmaceutical experience, or Bachelor's degree with at least 3-5 years of experience.
- Experience working with immune cells and knowledge of cell biology and immunology.
- Strong hands-on experience in cell culture and standard molecular biology assays, including enzymatic assays, flow cytometry, ELISA, and western blot.
- Familiarity with data processing, analysis, statistics, and data interpretation.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience working with hematopoietic stem cells.
- Experience with cellular imaging instruments, fluorescence microscopes, and qPCR.
- Knowledge of neuronal cell biology.
- Experience with microglia/astrocyte co-cultures, neuroinflammation assays, and BBB models.
