About the Role
The Senior Rotating Parts Design Engineer acts as an on-site engineering liaison to enhance communication between engineering and supply chain, works with shops and suppliers to meet producibility and process capability targets, drives manufacturing and design integration rigor, executes design and analysis projects using sound engineering principles, makes complex decisions, interacts with multidisciplinary engineers and industry experts, challenges existing processes to recommend improvements, leads technical projects, communicates effectively to build consensus, and mentors less experienced colleagues.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience
- Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience
Preferred:
- Previous experience in design of rotating parts
- Experience in manufacturing, especially of rotating parts
- Experience with Ansys and Unigraphics
- Significant experience with GD&T
- Self-starter with passion for problem solving and mentoring others
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
- Significant experience with Material Review Board Activities
- Flexible and friendly team player
