Summary
Red Hat is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Ansible Automation Platform to join their team in the Raleigh/Durham area. The role involves designing, developing, and delivering new products and features for the Ansible Automation Platform.
About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with geographically dispersed teams to analyze, design, develop, debug, and deliver new functionalities for the Ansible Automation Platform. You will take initiative in developing and testing new features, troubleshoot bugs, mentor other engineers, and engage with stakeholders through Agile processes.
About You
Required:
- Significant experience with Python, Django, and Django Rest Framework.
- Experience with Python unit and integration testing (e.g., using pytest).
- Linux expertise.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
- Experience with container platforms like Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker/Docker Compose, and Podman.
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Excellent communication skills and experience presenting to stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Writing Ansible playbooks and administering the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
- Familiarity with observability platforms (such as Dynatrace, DataDog, etc).
- Cloud native development/administration experience.
- Prior experience working on a globally distributed, remote team.
