Summary
Trunk Tools is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend to join their team in New York, NY. The role involves building exceptional user interfaces and leading development using React and TypeScript.
About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend, you will develop intuitive, high-performance, and responsive user experiences. You will lead the development using React, TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks, collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers, implement scalable design systems, optimize performance and quality, and shape the product vision through active participation in product discussions.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of professional experience building web applications with React and TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of modern frontend tooling (Webpack/Vite, Storybook, ESLint, etc.).
- Strong grasp of UI/UX principles, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Experience integrating APIs and working closely with backend teams (Node, Python, etc.).
- Familiarity with design systems, state management (Redux, Zustand, Recoil), and component-driven development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance speed with code quality.
- A deep passion for best in class user experience.
Preferred:
- Experience in AI/ML-driven products.
- Experience working within high-growth SaaS startups.
