Summary
SWIVEL is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves developing and maintaining Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions and guiding developers within Agile delivery teams.
About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build systems to interface with SWIVEL clientele, automate processes to improve efficiency, and mentor junior and mid-level developers. You will participate in self-organizing teams, respond to issues, work with product partners to understand requirements, prepare wireframes, conduct peer reviews, and perform other assigned duties.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or four-year university or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in software development with knowledge of OOP and SOLID principles.
- Strong background in C#, HTML, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
- Experience with .NET Framework and .NET, including migration to .NET.
- Proven efficiency in programming languages such as C#, Node.js, ASP .NET, JavaScript/jQuery, TypeScript, HTML/CSS.
- Extensive experience with relational databases and general knowledge of NoSQL databases.
- Exposure to microservice architecture and cloud-native services (preferably AWS).
- Experience in a continuous integration (CI) environment.
- Knowledge of Agile principles with experience in Scrum or Kanban.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of team development tools and source control (e.g., Visual Studio, Azure Devops, JIRA, GIT).
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, Vue.js, React).
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to adapt and learn new technologies.
- Familiarity with general office machines and proficiency in MS Office tools.
