SoFi is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Invest to join their team in Seattle, WA. The role involves leading the development and testing of system components for SoFi's investment platform, which includes a market-leading robo-advisor and online brokerage products.
About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing functionality, architecting the system, squashing bugs, and maintaining code health. You will lead development efforts, participate in shaping technical architecture, translate user stories into technical solutions, and mentor other engineers. Your work will contribute to delivering highly available and scalable services in a production environment, while collaborating closely with product managers and other developers throughout the product lifecycle.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or relevant work experience.
- 5+ years programming experience, ideally on a modern stack.
- 4+ years experience with Java, Kotlin, or Scala and understanding of relational databases and ORMs.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to drive projects from inception to completion.
- Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, including git.
Preferred:
- Experience with trading and/or exchange systems.
- Familiarity with workflow platforms such as Temporal.io or AWS Step Functions.
- Experience scaling highly available, mission-critical systems.
- Knowledge of trading APIs (crypto or securities) and the FIX Protocol.
- Experience with Scrum methodology.
