About the Role
As a Senior Software Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting hazard analyses, developing software safety requirements, designing safety controls, performing rigorous testing, and preparing safety documentation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into the software development lifecycle and ensure compliance with DoD safety standards.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with software safety standards such as MIL-STD-882E.
- Proven experience in software testing and validation.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Joint Software Systems Safety Engineering Handbook (JSSSEH).
- Experience in the defense industry or working with DoD projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
