QinetiQ US is seeking a Senior Space System Acquisition Lead to support technical space-based projects for a government client in Chantilly, VA. The role involves providing leadership and expertise in acquisition strategies for space systems.
About the Role
As a Senior Space System Acquisition Lead, you will develop and implement acquisition strategies for space-based systems, support engineering and operations throughout the acquisition life cycle, and provide technical expertise to ensure alignment with government objectives. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage project execution, and support the government in tracking commitments and expenditures.
About You
Required:
- Familiarity with The Airforce and Space Force's Space Acquisition and Integration (ASAF/SQ) organization.
- Experience with Space Systems Command (SSC).
- Previous program office experience supporting space-based acquisition offices.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Project for Program Plan development.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience supporting space-based programs.
Preferred:
- Master's degree.
- PMP certificate.
- Defense Acquisition University Certifications DAWII Level 1-3.
