Battelle is seeking a Senior Strategic Operations and Planning Support Analyst (Network/Cyber/Space) to join their team in Fort Meade, MD. The role involves supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) with integrated operational planning, strategic initiatives support, and program assessments to enhance cyberspace operations.
About the Role
As a Senior Strategic Operations and Planning Support Analyst, you will provide subject matter expertise in joint cyberspace operational and contingency planning, engage in the Joint Planning and Execution Enterprise (JPEE) process, draft planning reports, and support strategic initiatives and program assessments. You will also coordinate governance integration, manage program documentation, and interface with Program Executive Offices to ensure operational readiness.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Strategic Studies, Cybersecurity, Public Policy, National Security, or related discipline).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in DoD joint operations, strategic planning, or IT/cybersecurity program support.
- Must be a retired/former U.S. military officer at the grade of Lieutenant Colonel (O-5), Colonel (O-6), or a civilian equivalent (GS-14/15 or SES level).
- Demonstrated experience supporting joint planning processes (JPP), contingency planning, or cyber operations coordination.
- Experience developing and delivering professional documentation (e.g., CONOPS, policy papers, strategic plans).
Preferred:
- Graduate degree in national security, strategic studies, or related field.
- Prior service in a Combatant Command, Joint Staff, or within DISA.
- Familiarity with the JPEE (APEX) system and Joint Planning Groups (JPGs).
- Experience working with classified networks (NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS).
- Strong communication and briefing skills for senior audiences.
